The solution? Find a few things that make your life easier (once you get past the learning curve) and stick with them. That's not to say that you should never try anything new. But, don't fall for the latest fad or software just because "everyone else is using it". If it truly makes your life/job/health better, then go ahead and use it. Otherwise, review it and then send it on the way.
Meeting our students where they are is important. Many of the parents we deal with have never known a life without a cell phone. Twitter, Facebook and Nextdoor are the way they communicate. It has become a necessity to have a Twitter account and the ability to text (if you aren't using www.remind.com, I highly recommend you try it. You don't have to give out your real number.)
