Edutopia.org provides so many incredible tools. As I explore their site even more in depth, I'm amazed at the plethora (love that word!) of information that they share so readily with others. Here is this week's video: Passwords are like keys to your personal home online. You should do everything you can prevent people from gaining access to your password. Students, parents or other visitors should NEVER be allowed to use a computer that is logged in as a teacher or administrator! Both desktops and laptops that are set up for student use have restrictions that keep them from changing settings or deleting important things. The Teacher setup is very different and allows for many more changes. Students might not mean to delete or change something, but it can have a devastating effect on administration and staff shared information. |
